Engine
Forterra is powered by a new generation of 4 cylinder, turbocharged & inter-cooled engines that use the latest technology to deliver exceptional power with torque backup of up to 37% and outstanding fuel economy. Balancing shafts are fitted for smooth, vibration free running. While design features like oil cooler and oil cooled pistons with oversize wet liners and in-line fuel injection pumps offer increased reliability.

Transmission
A smooth shifting 24 x 18 three speed mechanical powershift transmission with forward synchro-shuttle & three speed powershifts is controlled by stick mounted buttons. All models have Luk cerametallic clutch plates for enhanced performance & reliability. Powerful Bosch electronic hydraulics with 5.8 Tonne lift capacity are standard on all models; as are lower link sensing, Cat II linkage with Walterscheid couplings, three double acting spool valves and hydraulic trailer braking. Heavy duty Carraro front axle with 55º steering angle and increased load capacity make Forterra ideal for the most demanding loader work. 4 wheel braking with oil immersed rear brakes & shaft-braked front axle. Both are virtually maintenance free and provide positive, dependable response.

Cab
Comfort cab with pillar-mounted exhaust offers outstanding all-round visibility. Operator comfort is a priority with Gramme Maximo seat, adjustable steering column, ergonomically designed controls, digital dash board & radio-CD
